Following this forever since 2k18. This might be lowest before they delist it. Releasing 2k25. Always wanted it at $30 but market for 2k23 and 2k24 and all that came before, closer was icon edition for 2k23 for $40 or so. I think, with the 200+ for Bryant edition, best value to date. There are 300 characters but with the way things are going with strong control on markets, haven't observed cheap keys. It's taking the artificial economic approach of removing the listing to increase value for its present year offerings. As opposed to selling older version for cheap, it simply removes them as outdated. They expect to repurchase year after year. Law of diminishing returns is showing with less changes year after year. If u have 2k23, 2k24, no need to get anything new. 2k25 is their pH point if ppl will still rebuy. Hardcore fans probably will support them but changes will be more cosmetic.

Note that this series for any 2K year server for online is 1. Terrible if active 2. Shuts down quickly, after a year. 2k24 will be soon. I do offline play so it's not my thing.

Other than current hot stars, I think there won't be enough changes to convince most people to pony up their wallets yet for another "offscription" from 2K24. Year after year annual release, with poor server service that shuts down within a year, it justifies more like every 2 years so that they can do justice to the purchase. Many people paid over $100, and it doesn't make it right to discontinue the game after a year in favor of a "newer" edition.

And, I believe they will simply delist the 2K(previous years), and force those who were waiting for cheap keys to buy the newest thing. They know that they won't get as much dollars giving old versions cheaper sales. That has been the trend since 2K23 with the new takeover from 2K from Yuke. If that will be the case, it's best to buy 1 version. What they should do is offer an "upgrade" sale for those who supported it. Rather than treat customers as if they are all new to the scene.

2K24 server should still be available until the Server Closure Date of September 2025, so likely its not the server being delisted but of poor service. 2K23 servers officially shut down Jan 2025. So about 1.5 years, making it rather one of the shortest duration for server lifespan I have ever seen. It's egregious. This makes the offscription a terrible proposition for those wanting it for the online community. Even so, I hear the server online community has ALWAYS been bad since forever. And that it has never been improved or the attempt to make any improvements on the part of the company, I would say that if you play for online features this game is not worth it in that respect based on the universal low opinion.

It's really more of an offline game and that would be the only reason to purchase these, and I still believe they should offer "upgrade" path for it, the 2K annual price of $100 is ridiculous. I am vouching for the hardcore fans.
